Hi guys, does "kmule version autoupdate " work fine?
I have done a test with an old kmule's version (Build 20121021) and i have found something strange in yours autoupdate system.
When i press "yes" on initial pop-up, i download the kmule.zip, but i dont' see any autoupdate. I have to unpack the archive and then i replace manually the old exe with the new exe (that i have unpacked previously).
I use XP SP3, but a friend of mine has the same problem with Seven 64 bit.

I have a request that i wrote some time ago (without answer):

eMule allows you to edit the preferences.ini with a button located in options -> extended. Why not add a "open kmule.ini" button? Some of your features are "kMule.ini-only" and (imho) i think it's a good thing to change kmule.ini with a specific button.
I know that after any change i have to restart the software.

It should work, yes but because there may be issues with the usage rights (UAC, etc.) we direct to the download page in the newer versions.

diskspace checks now require min(1GB, max(10MB, 5% of HDD))

Well in the past the automatic display check used 10MB by default, i.e. if you had only 10MB free space left on HDD your DLs got paused to prevent problems (.met files not getting written -> corrupt downloads). I.e. this only worked if the feature was enable.

kMule uses a different approach. With the diskspace check option always enable it will also reserve more space. E.g. on a 100GB partition, it will reserve:
min(1GB, max(10MB, 5GB)) = min(1GB, 5GB) = 1GB
to prevent issues. While 10MB is the absolute lower limit, we will usually reserve more space to take new (huge) HDD sizes into account.
